The Vision
In late 2010 Philip Ryall, Harvest Pilgrimage’s Director, landed in a conversation with Catholic missionary, Samuel Clear. That conversation centred on the need for consistent, high-value pilgrimages for youth and young adults saturated in mission, immersion, adventure and input from spiritual guides. That conversation has continued to this day. By January of 2011 Sam had joined the Harvest team as the Managing Director of this new model of amazing youth pilgrimage expeditions.
From India to Ireland, Peru to Papua New Guinea, Tonga to Uganda, in fact from over twenty unique destinations, a strong emphasis on the educational mix of experiences has become a key factor in bringing our itineraries to life. Through a mix of Immersions into the local culture, hands-on mission in orphanages and underprivileged communities, adventures like white water rafting, swimming with whales and summit climbing and all with authentic spiritual formation from engaging chaplains and dynamic young leaders, High School groups and young adults are able to encounter the world in ways that we genuinely believe will reset each persons life compass.

Philip Ryall - CEO
Philip Ryall is the founding Chairman and Managing Director of Harvest Pilgrimages located in the same building as Cardinal Pell and the Archdiocese of Sydney. He has dedicated the last 25 years of his life to the development of genuine faith pilgrimages and the coordination of World Youth Days on behalf of the Australian Catholic Church.

Samuel Clear – Managing Director
Samuel Clear has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and served for six years with Youth Mission Team Australia as a Team Member (2002) and then as a Manager (2003-2006 & 2008). Between 2006 and 2008 he walked 15,600km around the world praying for the unity of Christians, covering 20 countries, 9 languages and over 80°C of temperatures over 568days of bore-jarring adventure. He launched the captivating Walk4one Seminars in late 2009 and in January 2011 joined Harvest Pilgrimages as the Managing Director of Inroads. Through the incredible experiences offered him over the course of his journey both with YMT and around the world on foot he brings an adventurous, hands-on mission focus to Inroads. www.walk4one.com
